Restorative Dentistry

Everything we do is with the appearance and function of your smile in mind. That’s why, when you have decay, breakage, or even when you lose a tooth, you can count on Masters Family Dentistry to bring your smile back to ideal health. We never use a one-size fits all model of restorative treatment. Instead, we treat all generations with individualized care based on our initial risk assessment where we carefully screen your medical and dental history.

We are very mindful of the oral-systemic link and of each individual’s specific dental needs. Remember, oral health can have an impact on managing chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Our geriatric patients are at increased risk for tooth decay, so they receive extra special consideration. We also help restore their teeth and/or dentures for proper function, improved diet, and better digestion!

We use iTero Digital Impression technology to take 3D digital scans of your teeth, gums, and other areas of your mouth for restorative dentistry with pinpoint accuracy. That means no more goopy impressions to bite down on! We use only the highest quality, U.S. labs for outstanding restoration results – we even have an in office lab for denture relines and repairs. If you need restorative care, count on Masters Family Dentistry.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are a strong and inconspicuous way to restore your teeth and fill cavities. Masters Family Dentistry use only high quality materials and meticulous technique for beauty and longevity. These fillings are fashioned of composite resin and are commonly called “white” because we match the color of your own tooth. Each cosmetic filling is created in our office and completed in only one office visit. Tooth colored, composite fillings are the best choice for smaller cavities or decay, but they can also be used to contour, balance and adjust your teeth.

Porcelain Inlays / Onlays

Porcelain inlays and onlays are natural looking and strong choices for larger cavities that don’t quite warrant a crown. Beautiful and durable, our custom-created inlays and onlays are formed to fit and fill most types of cavities and are almost impossible to distinguish from the natural tooth.

Metal-Free Crowns

When patients come to us with teeth that are cracked, badly chipped or decayed, or with aging metal fillings that have extensive damage hiding beneath them, we often suggest repair with a dental crown. Crowns are also used to repair large cavities or protect a tooth that has undergone a root canal. Our all-porcelain crowns are not only beautiful, strong, and incredibly long-lasting, they are also created in only the highest-quality labs – labs that do all the fabrication of our beautiful, cosmetic crowns right here in the USA! Nothing is ever outsourced overseas. If your teeth hurt, have old and failing fillings, or if your teeth have broken, our cosmetic porcelain crowns may be your best solution for health and comfort. Dentures

Did you know that over 20 million people are missing teeth? People lose their teeth for many reasons. Gum disease, diabetes, poor nutrition, smoking, accidents, tooth grinding, and even some medications can contribute to tooth loss. Once the teeth are lost, other health issues start as well. Missing teeth can lead to an inability to eat nutritious foods, poor digestion, and decreased self-confidence and vitality. That’s why the doctors at Masters Family Dentistry have worked hard to perfect the Denture experience. We have a newly remodeled, state-of-the-art on-site lab allowing us to completely customize your denture experience, and offer everything from custom made precision dentures to implant-retained dentures for the ideal fit and comfort.

Implants

If you are missing individual teeth or you are uncomfortable with your dentures, we can replace missing teeth with dental implants. What makes dental implants so different is the fact that they actually become part of your mouth by integrating with the jawbone to let you chew, speak, and laugh with total confidence. The implant post is made of Titanium, a material scientifically proven to fuse to your jawbone. On this post, we place a custom created porcelain tooth that is indistinguishable from your other teeth. Some patients even forget which of their teeth is an implant! For others, implants are used to secure their implant retained dentures for maximum confidence. We coordinate all aspects of your implant treatment, including placement, often without outside referral. If you are missing teeth, ask us about how implants can help you get back to smiling again!

Root canals

Root canals are sometimes your tooth’s best friend, ending discomfort and clearing away infection – all while saving your tooth. The most common reason for a root canal is a tooth infection. Your tooth can become infected when you have a cavity that has been left untreated or when a filling fails and allows bacteria to enter your tooth and then stays under the filling. Untreated, the infection can worsen and spread into the bone at the end of your tooth. This infection is called an abscess and can lead to severe health issues. But don’t worry; if you develop an infection and require a root canal, we use the most modern techniques to perform our root canals while making your comfort a priority. We perform root canals on molars, bicuspids, and anterior teeth.

Oral surgery

Isn’t it nice to know that when you need something like an extraction you can have it performed in the comfort of the dental office you know and trust? The doctors at Masters Family Dentistry can perform most extractions in-office. In fact, Dr. Alexander Masters can even place your dental implants if you are missing teeth! Combine the comfort and cleanliness of our office with the Doctor’s gentle touch and you can have the peace of mind that your oral surgery will be as comfortable as possible. For those instances where it is in the patient’s best interest to see a specialist, we help coordinate treatment with a highly qualified oral surgeon.
